The capability to pre-select viable fluorescent-tagged
hybridization probes for gene expression in microarrays
can eliminate potentially flawed samples and improve
research effectiveness. The instrument software
facilitates the measurement of DNA concentration
and dye labeling effectiveness. The Thermo Scientific NanoDropTM 8000 Spectrophotometer measures the absorbance
of the fluorescent dye, allowing detection at
dye concentration as low as 0.2 pmol/ul.

Key Features
- Includes analysis capability for dsDNA,
RNA and "other" (analysis constant
selectable between 15-55)
- Measurement of wide variety of fluorescent dyes possible: Cy3, Cy5, Cy3.5, Cy5.5, Alexas 488, 546, 555, 594, 647 and 660
- Concentration of nucleic acid and dye calculated and displayed
- Reblank feature allows for the re-analysis of previous set of samples with a new set of references (blanks) for each channel
- Full spectrum data is automatically archived in a text delimited file on the controller PC and easily reviewed using the Data Viewer feature
- Sample or plate ID can be preloaded by using a barcode reader or importing from a file
- 260/280 ratio calculated and displayed
- Absorbance is represented as a 1mm path
