The Thermo Scientific NanoDropTM 8000 Spectrophotometer can be used to simultaneously measure the concentrations of proteins (A280) and up to two fluorescent dyes. In addition to measuring both components of a protein-dye conjugate, the versatile Proteins and Labels module can also be used to measure the purity of metalloproteins (such as hemoglobin) using wavelength ratios.

Key Features
- Six different reference types available : 1 abs=1mg/ml, BSA, IgG, Lysozyme, user entered mass extinction coefficient, user entered molar extinction coefficient
- Measurement of wide variety of fluorescent dyes possible: Cy3, Cy5, Cy3.5, Cy5.5, Alexas 488, 546, 555, 594, 647 and 660
- Concentration of protein and dye calculated and displayed
- Reblank feature allows for the re-analysis of previous set of samples with a new blank
- Full spectrum data is automatically archived in a text delimited file on the controller PC and easily reviewed using the Data Viewer feature
- Sample or plate ID can be preloaded by using a barcode reader or importing from a file
