"While the NanoDrop 1000 proved to be a clear advantage over the standard spectrophotometer (that is no dilutions or cuvettes, small sample volume, and excellent sensitivity and dynamic range) , our upgrade to the NanoDrop 8000 has proven to be a significant improvement to my laboratory's operating procedure. We can now characterize sample quantity and quality in a fraction of the time, while utilizing the same extraordinary Nanodrop technology. This has made quality control for high throughput DNA isolation procedures much easier to perform and has allowed for other procedures to be given more attention and time."

"The NanoDrop NanoDrop 8000 in our lab is used to quantitate RNA (maybe 70%) DNA (25%) and some protein (5%). The 8 channel model is a huge time saver over the single channel model, although that worked very well also. People from other labs (not even our department) have heard of its accuracy and ease of use and come here constantly. I sometimes have over 100 samples to quantitate and adjust concentration, which before took half a day. This can be completed in a half hour now. And the auto print function is great. I would definitely recommend it for even a low-throughput application lab. I even got a trade-in on the NanoDrop 1000."

"I have had great experience working with the NanoDrop 1000 for the past 4 years and when asked to recommend a new spectrophotometer for the new laboratory that I recently joined, I suggested NanoDrop Technology without hesitation. The new NanoDrop 8000 caught my attention and, after some consideration, we decided to purchase one. We mainly measure mouse tail DNA and purified DNA for transgenic purposes. Since we receive most of our DNA from clients, the volume and concentration can vary significantly and it is important that we use the least amount of sample volume for measurement. The NanoDrop 8000 serves our purpose well as it needs only 1 µl of sample, without any dilution, for measuring a range of 2-3700 ng/µl DNA. The high-throughput of measuring 8 samples simultaneously saves us critical work time when we receive a large batch of samples. In short, the NanoDrop 8000 is a compact, user-friendly instrument that provides us with fast and very accurate measurements - one of the best-valued, high-throughput spectrophotometers in the market."
